We had a fun weekend - we are looking at buying some property in Eastern Washington to have for our family to get away to and eventually have 4 wheelers and a house out there. So we decided to go on a little road trip and look at some areas up there that had property we were interested in. We planned to stay in the city of Omak (population 15) but when we pulled up to the hotel we had made reservations with it was pretty scary. I guess pictures online can make anything look good. Needless to say, we went elsewhere.

We stopped at a rest stop (for a geocache of course) and Ben found a whole area with rocks.. I don't know what is with him and rocks....but he loves them.

This is an old piece to a generator at a dam that is set up for people to see. Leave it to my kids to find something to climb on.

This is a picture of the property we were looking at to possibly buy. It would include part of that lake. It was beautiful there, but certainly rattlesnake heaven.

This is Sarah at a cache we found. It is so nice out in the boonies. Especially when you have an icecream cone in hand.

We stopped at Grand Coulee Dam and ended up taking a tour. We rode an inclinator down into the dam. It was a little scary.

This is looking down from 400ft. above, showing the track at left that the elevator rode on.

A picture of the elevator from the bottom. It is much scarier than this picture makes it look.

Josh on the way back up.
