At least the calendar says it is spring. Today was Josh's first baseball practice of the year so we know summer is on the way. This is his 4th year playing ball and his 3rd year with this particular coach and group of boys. It is a great group of people and we have a lot of fun with them. We especially love that his team is the Mariners, our own hometown team.
Living in the Pacific Northwest however means that games and practice generally continue rain or shine. If the boys didn't play when it rained, they would pretty much never play. Today's practice was an hour and a half in 41° temps with a steady pouring rain and wind.
We take consolation in knowing that by the end of the season, we will be watching games in the 80° sunshine.
Go little Mariners!!!

Go Mariners!! We hope to be able to see a game this summer, but only if you can promise sunshine!!
Ah, as much as I love the Northwest, that doesn't sound like much fun. Sometimes I need to be more grateful for the nice Vegas weather.
Josh looks great in his Mariners gear! The weather doesn't seem to phase him. Josh, good luck with Spring training.
