The Need for Speed

The weather was good enough yesterday that the kids busted out some of their summer rolling toys from the garage and played outside for a while with some of the other neighborhood kids.

Benjamin in particular having gotten bigger and braver than he was last year had a great time on his bike. He would lift both feet in the air and get going pretty fast down our or the neighbor's driveway. Which usually worked out pretty well...

...unless he would try to make any sharp turns.

Anyhow, I just snapped some pics of the fun.

Not sure exactly what Sarah was running to or from but here she is too.

So fun....Ben is a riot. If you can let him go down a driveway in bare feet right into the street by himself, surely he can handle my step. :)

Just for the official record - that was not a mommy sanctioned activity until the last five minutes when I was called outside to see it. I was also not aware of the bare feet. He would have had shoes, socks, and a coat on if I knew about it! Dads are always much bigger daredevils than moms. That is why kids go to their moms for comfort and their dads for the fun. :) - Valerie

Ben is the best! I bet your next boy will be just as cute (I still think it's a boy, but that would be awesome if you had "the Girl").
