Ernesta Week!
For anyone that has been watching any of the rest of the Vanderhoeven family blogs, you would know it is Ernesta week. We are not 100% sure how this holiday came to be, but know it is practically sacred with our nephews and nieces, and has spread to many friends of theirs. It starts right after International Pirate's Day and it dictates what you eat each day based on an Aquabats song called "Pizza Day"
The menu this week :
Monday - Hotdogs
Tuesday - Tacos
Wednesday - Hamburgers and Chocolate Milk
Thursdays - Sloppy Joes and Burritos in a Bag and
Friday - Pizza Day (The best day of the week)
While being pregnant, I just could not stomach hot dogs this week but we did have tacos last night and hamburgers tonight. We aren't really even sure how this whole thing started or what it means, but I am ALL for something that comes up with a menu instead of trying to think about what is for dinner every single day!

Sounds cool and super healthy HAHA my kind of food! Hey did you leave Ben's coat here? I think it's tan or green GAP? I would go check the color but that would require leaving the couch!
...and I am ALL in for any holiday that says I HAVE to eat hamburgers and chocolate milk!
The Aquabats...saw them at a little club in Provo...memories!
I am so doing this next year...you better remind me!!! I love any holiday that makes "what's for dinner?" easy!
