When we got married, I will admit, that Jeff never declared himself a handy man. But somehow I think women just assume their husbands will know how to fix things. This past week has been the week of repairs. Jeff's car was in the shop twice (UGH!), and our oven quit working. So this may have just been the breaking point....
With this baby getting bigger and bigger and loving to jump on my bladder all night, I have had frequent trips to the bathroom at night. I know - way too much information - but it is just a pregnant fact of life. So, the other night, the handle broke off the toilet. The bar holding it in place just snapped in half. AT 1AM!! UGH!
So of course, I tasked Jeff with fixing it. Because of course it is well known that husbands should know about that kind of stuff. Now...I will admit we were very busy and he has not had much time to run up to Home Depot - but the next day I went vistiting teaching and came home to a house of snickering children and husband. I think they got together and tried to think of something just to see if it would push me over the edge. I am not sure if they could think of anything more ghetto - but as soon as I walked into the bathroom I heard laughter all behind me.
This was the "fixed" toilet that greeted me. A Neopet dragon Happy Meal toy now waits with a smile on his face to help flush my toilet.
This WILL be fixed this week - if nothing else for my birthday! I guess a good example of needing to have a sense of humor to get through life!
And just in case there are questions - NO, the dragon is not wet, but the gross shoelace is. UGH!

Classy! You may be starting a new trend.
I like it, you have to give them credit for their creativity!
I love it!!!! LOL
Even better than you described on the phone...ha ha ha!! Is it fixed yet?
I literally laughed out loud when I saw that picture. And of course I'm at work. So that worked out.
