Blessing Day for Zach

Last Sunday was Zachary's blessing day. It was such a wonderful day to be together with the family, both sides.

Above is our family that was at church with us. I love this picture. In case you don't know our family very well - this isn't even all of us. There are even more that weren't able to make it. I am so grateful to be part of a family that shows this kind of support for each other.

Not pictured but also in attendance was Gavin Urvina who instead chose to run laps in the hall. It's okay though, he was there to as this picture proves. As you can see, he was thrilled to be caught.

It is really awesome to take up the whole chapel. I wish we were all in the same ward all the time although I'm pretty sure everyone else would hate us.

We hope our kids appreciate how cool it is to grow up in such a large family with so many aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, spouses and additional miscelaneous kids around.

I think I counted 12 family members plus the bishop in the circle for the blessing. In case you are wondering how many people you could fit in a blessing circle, I think this is about the maximum.

Zachary is officially the last of Jeff's parent's grandchildren. He makes number 31. It makes me very sad that think that Jeff's mom has not been here for this little baby explosion in out family. There was nothing that she loved more than little babies, and seeing her family grow. But we know that she knows these little babies, and probably knew them before we did. It makes me sad that he or Ben won't know one of their 2 grandmothers while in this life.

Jeff took these pictures of our kids on the way out the door to church. The kids have been so wonderful with Zach, and so helpful to me as I was recovering. There was a small disagreement over who got to hold Zach, so had to put both pictures in. Ben of course was happy to just hold a rubber snake.

After church, we all got together a Jeff's dad's house for a potluck of sorts. We made a ton of pasta and salad and everyone brought their favorite sauces to put on the pasta and carrot cake for desert.

Thanks to everyone who came to the blessing and party afterwards. It meant a lot to us!

Impressive family picture! It was really fun to see how big your family has grown while taking over the church. Good thing we decided to come early that day! You really are blessed to have so many family members neraby, and that you all get along so well!

Hooray for babies! I know Chris really wishes that Oma was around to see Logan. We know she knew all the new little ones before they came to us. We love you guys!

I feel for you, my grandpa died 3 months before Ashten was born and it still makes me sad. Anyways, way to take over the ward for a day! I wish I would have been there but Congratulations!!!

Glad we could be there to help take up all the good benches in the chapel. :) Your kids are super cute, are you sure you don't want a few more?
