Twilight!! 12:01 am

Just in case you live in a hole underground, and haven't been watching the countdowns lately, the movie Twilight came out this morning at 12:01am. Both Sarah and I have been REALLY excited for this movie to come out. And really, what better time to be at a movie about vampires than in the middle of the night. I don't know that I have ever been sure to be there at 12:01am for a movie. Add the craziness of getting ready for a craft show this Saturday, and it seems I should have been falling asleep in the theater - but that was not the case. It was a zoo there! And once the movie started I wasn't tired a bit until the ride home. They had also sold out shows for 12:02 and 12:03.

Our group was Sarah, Zach, and I, Judy and Laura Walsh, Emily Oman, and Adrienne Urvina. Part of our unofficial group that were also in theaters in other cities were my sister Keri in Yakima, and my niece Linda in Oregon. Of course 3 moms with blogs didn't bring our regular camera, so these 3 pictures are taken on Adrienne's cell phone - so not the best quality. But you get what you get when you forget your camera.

There were so many people there. We were sitting in the theater almost 2 hrs before the show started and it was seriously like being in a middle school cafeteria. I truly feel bad for all the school teachers in town this morning. I don't know about everyone else, but my deal with Sarah and Emily (who ended up spending the night, or 4 hrs in the morning) with us was they HAD to get up for school, and they had to not be grouchy about it. They have lived up to their bargain so far and got off on the school bus with no problems this morning. Anyone who hasn't read this book, you should. Don't let the fact that the main character and his family are vampires scare you off. I am so not a vampire book person, but this book is really good. And not all that often does a book or movie come out that can be equally enjoyed by parents and kids.

Long story short - we all liked this movie. It was very true to the book and I plan on going to see it a few more times and certainly buying the DVD. Jeff.....you ready to go with me?
