My Gingerbread House Redemption

After the last try at gingerbread houses, and their horrific structural failure, I heard through the grapevine that better kits are out there and that they have a few things that make them much easier - namely, premade frosting, and a stand to put your house in with grooves for the walls to sit in. Our last ones had neither of those things, and I wanted to try again.

This second attempt was also going to involve some older children. I was counting on that to make the odds a little better for success too. We had one house for each of the older kids and I pretty much just made sure they were structurally sound and then let them use their creative juices from there.

It was a pretty good success and I think the kids had fun. Sarah went to work trying to make hers look as good as possible, while Joshua was more concerned about making his very weird. Ben really just wanted to eat the candy. But it was still a fun activity for all of them. Here are our final results.
