As a child, not much was better than turning on the radio early on a snowy morning and listening carefully for them to announce that your school district's classes had been cancelled for the day.
As an adult, that feeling is lost... sort of. What if it snows on a Saturday night... is it wrong to wish for church to be cancelled?
As it turns out, church was cancelled today for that very reason this morning. Living at around N 47° 20 which is almost as far north as you can get in the continental U.S. so you would think that we would be used to snow. That is not the case we live so close to the ocean that it rarely snows here.
It doesn't take much snow to bring our world to a stop. Here are some pics from outside as of a few minutes ago. As you can see, we almost covered the grass.

Holy smokes, you guys are light weights! You would need a few more feet of the white stuff to shut down church in Denver. Although I would have to say that in Vegas, sometime a little rain can create chaous. So, I guess we are the light weights now.
Okay, no fair! We have more snow here and still had to go to church. That is nothing!!
Ours wasn't cancelled by the Bishop, but WE cancealed.
