A Drafty Zach Update

Here’s another in my short series of blogs posts frozen in time drafts that were never actually published to our blog. Valerie had even written this post already but had just never published it. This goes back to the second week in January...

This past week we have been so busy I have so much to catch up on.

Zach has had a few days now where he thinks he is hungry every hour. One evening I decided to try and see if he was ready for some rice cereal. Since he has never taken a bottle, I decided to just try it made a little thicker and feed him with a spoon. Somewhere I have a pipe dream, about avoiding bottles as long as possible. We dug out the ghost bib that my nephew Andrew had picked out just for Zach and decided to try it. You can see from this picture he was totally interested to begin with.

We decided to try and video tape the first spoonful. In a house the size of mine, a nice quiet video just doesn't always happen. We have Ben on one side, not wanting to lose out on any attention. On the other side, we have Josh with his new video camera he got for Christmas shining a horrible light in his eyes. This is not the best video ever, but it definitely shows his reaction to the rice cereal.

This was the picture about 5 minutes later. We were trying to figure out if he was just faking it to keep from having more cereal put in his mouth.

Also this past week we have also discovered toys and is working hark on rolling over.
