The Egg Drop competition around here has always been a lot of fun. For those whose schools may not do it, the kids are supposed to create something for an egg to be in that is only allowed to be 7 inches total in any direction, weighs less than 8 oz, and has no parachute. The principal is raised up 20 or 30 feet (based on how brave the principal is) and they drop the kids' inventions.
The goal of course is to have your egg survive the drop. I would say we have about a 90% survival rate in our house.
This year Josh decided to "go green" and reuse some items from around our house to house his egg. Anyone who has been in our house recently may recognize it.
One other disclaimer - egg drop day coincided with "crazy hat and free dress" day and he decided to wear his bike helmet - not because they have to duck the eggs from the drop.
Here he is with his creation.
A little closer look at his "vinyl ball" These are just a small portion of all the weeding we have been doing around here gearing up for our Wenatchee show next weekend. Here is Mr. Blix up high dropping eggs down to their possible demise.
Another successful year for the VanderHoeven egg drop!
