Happy 9th Birthday Joshua!! Playing Hookey

Today was Josh's 9th birthday. I decided he wasn't feeling so good, and let him stay home from school. Everyone needs that once and a while. We kinds had Josh day! We went to Walmart to pick out some presents for him, ending up with a couple new games for his DS, and a couple fun t-shirts. I gave him the option of lunch of choosing ANYWHERE he wanted to go for lunch, and of course my son picks the Old Country Buffet. All you can eat macaroni and cheese was on his mind. He must have eaten the equivalent of 4 boxes worth.
Ben was excited about the prospect of a hot dog, rice, french fries, pizza lunch.

Josh had mentioned to the cashier it was his birthday, so when he was eating his dessert (a nice big hunk of cheesecake) the manager came over and got the whole restaurant into singing Happy Birthday to both the boys. He loved it!

It is hard to believe Josh has only been part of our family for 9 years. It seems like he has just always been here. He is such a great little boy to have with us. We are very blessed with all of our children.

So - another day.......................another birthday tomorrow!!

You are such a cool Mom, letting your kid stay home from school on his b-day! P.S. He looks just like you!
