As much as we have had a fun summer, I think it was more than just me that was excited for school this morning. Sarah was up at 5:30 this morning and Josh walked into my room dressed with his backpack on at 6:15. Anyone that knows my children, knows that this is highly unusual for them. Josh is the last person to want to wake up in the morning. I am not delusional that this will continue past say Friday, but it was nice today to not have to argue about waking up.
According to Sarah she was excited because she is now "Top of the Food Chain". This is her last year at Meeker Middle School and her last year wearing uniforms. She is very excited to be in 8th grade and knows next year she is knocked right back to the bottom as a freshman.

Josh is starting 4th grade at Crescent Heights and is very excited about his teacher and has dubbed her "the most fun teacher at the whole school".

Your kids are so grown up! We have been back to school for a week and today was the first day Kelsi did not want to get up super early...I knew it would wear off quick! Yay for school!!

So grown up. So fun to see pics of the big kids. Hooray for school. We have been loving the back to school days too!
