Nature Walk

Yesterday for playgroup we had a really great activity. We went for a walk along the BPA trail in Federal Way. Amie Nicolas had made a Bingo board for the kids with pictures of things to look for along our walk. They had little stickers to put on the boards when they found the items. The board has things like a dog (we had Boone with us, so practically a free square), litter (which we were pleasantly surprised how long it took us to find), a leaf, an ant, etc......

The kids did so good on the walk. It was really nice to find a place that a whole group of kids could run pretty far away from us and we could still see them and not be worried about cars and stuff. They were thrilled to run into lots of blackberry bushes with yummy ripe berries on them. Near the end of our walk, the boys found a fuzzy caterpillar that they were fascinated by.

It was a great day for everyone...................except maybe that poor caterpillar.
