Harvest Ball

This past weekend Sarah participated in the Harvest Ball. Anyone that knows us in our day to day lives, knows that Sarah is now in ballroom dance. This is her first year in it and she loves, loves, loves it! I am not sure I can emphasis that enough. She walks from room to room in our house now spinning in circles, dancing as she goes. It has almost taken over her entire life. She has dance 2-3 times a week right now - and 4 these last 2 weeks. This past weekend was the Harvest Ball, which is an annual fundraising dinner/show that Pacific Ballroom Dance puts on. It was her first dancing show and she had a great time. I stopped by and took some pictures at he dress rehearsal.

Sarah, Michelle, and Laura (premakeup, and seriously, way cuter)
Sarah was dancing a quickstep to "Blue Skies"
Michelle danced a foxtrot to "Singing in the Rain"

Laura danced a mambo to "House of Bamboo"

Hard to see them in this picture, but I wasn't really ready for my 13 yr old to be wearing fishnets.

The girls had very specific instructions on how they were supposed to have their eye makeup. It was a little scary. After the dress rehearsal, the girls on Sarah's team all went to one of the girls' house and had a pizza/makeup and hair party. Sarah had a lot of fun with her team doing that.

Judy Walsh got some great pictures at the dinner/dance part -

Now to get ready for her competition - Quest for the Best
This is this next Saturday and she will be dancing 2 dances, the Waltz, and the Cha Cha with her partner Jonah who is the boy in the center of the boys picture above.
