Cupcakes vs. Physics (Hint: Physics Wins!)

The ice-cream cone cupcakes I brought to playgroup were so fun the other day that I thought I would make and bring the same to Joshua’s class at school on his birthday/Valentine's Day party. I carefully baked the strawberry cake mix, added my pink frosting and got them all covered in sugary bling ready to go the school.

In the van however, Murphy's Law caught up with me and after a couple of turns and a bump or two, the bling was gone and I was left to walk into the classroom with this…

Lest I look like and incompetent mother, I explained to the teacher that this mess was once beautiful.

I’m not sure she believed me.

The kids didn’t care and devoured them all the same.

Oh, all your work! I've made these before, but to transport them I cut holes in a box that I could slip them into so they wouldn't slide around. They got there perfectly, but I must admit that I think making the transport box to carry them took longer than the cupcakes!

DANG! Well at least everyone who reads your blog knows how nice they looked, even if Josh's teacher doesn't. (:
