Last Sunday we were able to go to Joe and Adrienne's Urvina's ward in Spanaway to be there for the blessing of their newest addition, little baby Annika.
It was a good chance to try and get a good picture of all the cousins on the Urvina side of the family. To think that a group of 9 children under 13 (with 7 of them under 6) were going to cooperate and give the cheesy smiles that we were looking for is kind of a joke.
With 3 different cameras taking pictures as fast as possible, this was the best we ended up with....... look at those cute kids (and their cousins too)!
It was also nice to see a little girl wear the family blessing dress again. When our oldest daugher Sarah was born, we bought a blessing gown and had the slip enbroidered with the name and date she was blessed. Since then, we have had it continue as tradition to use that gown and have the names and dates of those blessed in it embroidered. It has been used so far by Sarah VanderHoeven, Kelsi Button, Madilynn Urvina and now Annika Urvina. One of those things that someday will be special.
Sidenote: On the Urvina side, of the 9 cousins age-wise, our kids are #1, #2 and #8.
There are 30 kids on the VanderHoeven side with our three children being #28, #29 and #30 (#31 pending). We got a late start over there.
This is a byproduct of Valerie being and oldest child (of 4) and Jeff being a youngest child (of 6).

Who is that kid picking his nose? Oh wait...he's mine! Must have learned that from his dad!! We had a great time with all the cousins on Sunday!
If it helps, when the picture is bigger he isn't actually picking his nose - just scratching it. So - for the official record Andrew Button is not picking his nose!
Great post!!! Thanks so much for helping with the blessing luncheon. A day we will never forget. Eating lunch on the floor of a very empty house!!! Please send pics of the big day. We love you all!!!!
